Privacy policy

Last updated: 19 October 2026

Thingys is run by Anouk Solutions ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information we collect, why, and what your choices are. It applies to this website and to the Thingys app.

Pre-launch list (this website)

If you join the pre-launch list we collect:

We use this only to send you one email when Thingys launches, and to understand which phones to build for first. We do not send marketing about anything else, and we do not sell or rent your details. We keep them until we have sent the launch email and for up to 12 months after, or until you ask us to delete them, whichever comes first.

The Thingys app

When you create an account we collect your chosen username and a password, which we store only in a scrambled (hashed) form. We do not ask for your email address. Everything you add to the app, such as to-dos, income and expenses, jobs, appointments and events, is stored against your account and is only visible to you. We do not read, sell or share it, and we do not use it for advertising.

You can delete your account at any time from inside the app. This permanently removes your account and all of the information you added.

Reminders are scheduled on your own device. The app does not track your location.

Who handles your information for us

We use trusted providers to run the service: Google Cloud (hosting) and Supabase (database). They process information on our behalf and under their own security commitments. Our servers are located in Europe.

Cookies

This website does not use cookies or third-party tracking. It loads one font from Google Fonts, which means your browser contacts Google to download it.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to see the information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, and you can withdraw your consent to be emailed. To do so, email admin@anouksolutions.com. If you are in South Africa you may also complain to the Information Regulator; if you are in the EU or UK, to your local data protection authority.

Security

Connections to Thingys are encrypted, passwords are hashed, and each account's data is separated from everyone else's. No online service can promise perfect security, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information and will tell you if something goes wrong that affects you.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date above, and tell pre-launch subscribers if the change affects how we use their email address.
